Range Hours of Operation
All Outdoor Firearm Ranges
Mon. – Sat. = 8:00 am – Sunset
Sunday = 1:30 pm – Sunset
The Board must approve any exceptions.
Indoor Firearm Range
Mon – Sat = 8:00 am – 10:00 pm
Sunday = 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Archery Ranges
Mon – Sun = Sunrise to Sunset
General Safety Rules
SAFETY IS EVERYBODY’S RESPONSIBILITY!
Always keep guns pointed in a safe direction.
Keep guns unloaded until ready to use.
Never handle firearms while anyone is downrange.
Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
Everyone (shooters and spectators) must wear eye & ear protection.
Apply eye & ear protection BEFORE entering the range area.
All Ranges – All Times
Members must wear their RRPC name tags while at the range.
Guests Members are responsible for ensuring their guests follow the Range Rules. Up to four guests per member are permitted. Guests must shoot on the same range as the member.
Please clean up after yourself. Do not leave garbage or targets on the range, and please pick up your brass.
No explosive or glass targets!
No tracer, incendiary, or explosive ammunition!

200/300 YARD RIFLE RANGE
Firearms
Rimfire or centerfire rifles only, chambered in calibers with enough power and accuracy to reliably hit the 300-yard target. (Centerfire rifle caliber with min velocity of 1350 FPS. 22LR or other rimfire caliber with min velocity of 1000 fps.)
No Full-Auto firearms, binary triggers, FRT triggers, similar devices designed to increase rate of fire.
Type of Shooting
Seated at the bench.
Standing, sitting, kneeling, or prone shooting positions on the firing platform deck are allowed.
Calibers and Ammo Allowed on Steel Targets
No armor-piercing ammunition. No projectiles that attract a magnet. No ammo that has a steel or partial steel "Penetrator" (SS109/M855, etc.).
Calibers up to .300 Magnum allowed. No .338 Lapua or .50 BMG.
These ammunition restrictions do not apply to the target boards.
Firing Line & Target Location
Fire from shooting platforms only. The muzzle of the rifle should be at/over the edge of the platform facing the targets.
Firearms on the bench must be made safe (action open and unloaded) when anyone is forward of the bench.
Place paper targets on the range provided target boards. Use only the target board and steel targets RRPC has provided. Do not place other targets anywhere on the range.
200/300 Yard Rifle Range Interaction
To go anywhere downrange of the firing platforms, first arrange a “Cease fire” on the Plinking, Steel, and Pistol ranges. Then turn on the light/bell before going downrange.
